Why Bank Reconciliation Matters More Than You Think

Without reconciliation, your books can look correct on paper while being wrong in reality — a duplicated invoice, a missed bank fee, or an unrecorded transfer can all sit unnoticed for months.
Monthly reconciliation, done consistently, is one of the highest-leverage habits in bookkeeping — it's also the first thing an auditor or investor checks for.
